Playing with the dogs
Some people think that working at a daycare and boarding facility is nothing more than sitting around playing with dogs all day. It is so much more than that! While there are a lot of hands-on activities with the dogs ensuring they are having fun, there is also constant cleaning, feeding the sleep-over guests and general care-giving that has to be done throughout the day. You won't find many chairs at Our Pal's Place because we are always on the move!
Safety! Safety! Safety!
Keeping our dogs and staff safe at all times is our top priority! We do this by...
- Training staff on dog body language so everyone knows what is happening with each dog at all times
- Playing smaller groups of dogs to maximize fun and minimize altercations
- Communicating so all staff know the movements of dogs within the facility
Teamwork
At Our Pal's Place, we work together to ensure each dog who walks through our doors has an enjoyable experience. It starts with creating an upbeat and positive environment in which our staff work. Happy staff who enjoy their work translates into a positive experience for our dogs!

Please note that volunteers at Our Pal's Place - Pet Adoption Facility are considered first for employment. We believe those who are willing to give their time to helping orphaned pets, able to follow our strict safety operations and prove to work well in a team environment should be considered first for employment at Daycare, Boarding & Training facility.
